Hello I'm Graham, the Academy coordinator.
I have been playing darts competitively for 41 years , starting off playing in my local pub at the age of 17.
Over the years I have played Hampshire Super League, also represented the county.
I have also been M.C for the Hampshire county side until a change of profession 3 years ago, so I have been fortunate enough to visit many county venues over the years, while meeting some of the top names in the game along the way.
Currently I still play locally in Tuesday super League as well as Friday pub and clubs league, which I have also been the league secretary for the last 20 years. I don't have a particular favourite player, due to having met so many great people over the years, Daryl Fitton, Tony O'Shea and Cliff Lazarenko to name but a few. Of the current crop of professionals I am pleased to call Luke Humphries a personal friend. Away from playing darts i enjoy playing golf...not very well I might add... and spending time with family and friends.

Hello I'm Dave, the Chairman of the Academy,
I've been apart of the academy for 5 and a half years, due to my three children playing darts for the academy. For 4 of those years I have served as the academy chairman, and I am pleased to say that I'm still currently serving as the chairman.
During my time with the academy I have watched it grow from strength to strength, with the help of the players, parents, coaches, committee and our sponsors.
Away form the academy I enjoy watching football, now that I'm retired from playing myself. I enjoy Formula 1 and playing golf when I get the chance.
When it comes to family time I enjoy our family holidays in our touring caravan and also enjoy traveling the UK with my two daughters whilst they are playing their county darts matches and competitions.

Hello I'm Rob, the Vice Chairman of the Academy
I have been playing darts for around 10 years, my son Liam got into playing darts and still makes me play most days. I captain a local darts team on a Friday night in the Andover & District Darts League, which has a number of Academy players in it.
My favourite darts player is Luke Humphries.
In my spare time i like to upgrade and travel in my VW campervan.

Hello I'm Teresa, the treasurer for the academy.
I've been the treasure for the Andover Darts Academy since we reformed 6 years ago.
I enjoy playing darts both at home with the family and while out and about with friends. In my spare time I love to take a break in my caravan with my Husband, dogs, family and friends.
Recently my grandson has become a player for the academy and is improving every week.

Hello I'm Kelly, the secretary for the academy,
I got my son Liam into darts when he was 11, I brought him a magnetic board and then my friend told me about the academy.
I don't actually play darts myself as I have unstable shoulders that dislocate. My favourite darts player is Luke Humphries. Outside of darts i enjoy making cards, growing veg and just enjoying life.

Hello I'm Teresa, the safeguarding officer for the academy.
I'm the first person you see when you enter the academy whether you're registering or paying your weekly subs for the season. I've been involved with the youth side of darts since 2006/7 and then from the beginning of the Andover darts academy until present. If I had to chose a favourite dart player it has got to be 'The Viking' Andy Fordham.
My favourite thing about our darts academy is seeing all the youths happy and in their element. To sum it up we are one big happy family.

Hello I'm Jamie, Academy coach.
I've been taking my son to the academy for 5 years and joined the coaching team this year. The academy a great place for kids to spend quality time learning the game, etiquette and social aspects, (its very rare that we can get them off their screens!) all within a supportive and safe environment.
I've enjoyed watching darts since I was a kid myself, playing in the garage. I would have to say my favourite dart player is Michael van Gerwen.
Outside of darts I enjoy following football and Formula 1.

Hello I'm Matt, Academy coach
I joined the academy back in 2012 when I was 13. During my time with the academy I rose from player to Academy senior captain for 10 years before joining the coaching team in January 2024. I'm very grateful to have been a part of the academy for so long, as it has brought me many friendships over the years and pushed me to expand my horizons by playing further afield in local leagues and competitions all over the country.
Now it's my turn to help push some of our new talented youngsters to do the same.

Hello there I'm Gemma, your social media representative and resident bar attendant.
I've only been with the academy for around 3 years. While I don't play darts myself due to my inability to count, I instead put my skills to use by doing the bar on an academy night, looking after and maintaining the Facebook page, Instagram page and the academy website...to list but a few of my jobs.
I grew up in a house hold where darts was a regular feature on the tv, watching the greats like Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis take to the stage.
When I'm not hiding behind the camera I enjoy anything creative, spending time with my family and friends, as well as following Formula 1.

Hello I'm Carolyne, Academy committee member.
I've been a committee member for the last five and a half years.
I first got into darts at the age of 8. My love and interest for the game came from my dad who played in a county darts league.
I used to play in a Friday night league team where I met some amazing darts players. My love of darts was passed down onto my children, as i have three that attend the academy, two of which play in the county leagues.
At the academy we are one big darting family and its great seeing all the children progress in their games.
My favourite dart player is Keith Deller.
In my spare time outside of the academy I enjoy spending time in the caravan with family and friends.

Hello I'm Sarah, Academy committee member,
I've been a sporting mum for over 10 years, supporting my children through football. After my youngest son, Drew started playing darts a few years ago I've grown to enjoy a different sport. Taking the new found fondness into consideration I felt that by joining the committee it would be my way of giving something back to the academy.

Hello I'm Glen, Academy committee member
I have been part of the Andover Darts Academy for 10 years, and have spent 6 of those as a committee member. As well as being an academy I would class ourselves as one big family which I love to see.
I have been playing darts myself for 19 years now and have achieved winning the Friday night darts league twice with my team, which includes some members from the academy.
My favourite dart player is jonny Clayton,
Outside of the academy my interests are cars and banger racing, along with spending time with the family.
I cant wait to see what the future holds for the academy, going forward for many more years.

Hello I'm Lee, Academy committee member.
I have been a dedicated member of the Andover Darts Academy for four years and have served on the committee for the last two.
What makes Andover Darts Academy special is the sense of community and support it offers to players of all ages and skill levels. It's a place where everyone is encouraged to improve, compete and most importantly, enjoy the game.
Being part of the academy has allowed me to help others discover their love for darts, and that's something I truly value.
I would have to say that my favourite darts player is Nathan Aspinall.

Hello I'm Tony, Academy committee member,
I have a long standing sporting interest and I currently work within the sporting events industry. My interest for darts started when my youngest son Drew, started playing a few years ago. So joining the committee was an easy choice, to ensure we can provide the best for all Andover Darts Academy members.

Hello I'm Liam, I'm the boys academy representative,
I started playing darts when I was 11 as a member of the Andover Darts Academy. I also play at Berkshire Youth County Darts. Alongside this I also play Friday night league darts. My favourite dart player is Luke Littler.
My hobbies are darts, listening to music, flying birds (for work) and collecting vinyl records.
Hello I'm Kacey-Jayde, I'm the girls academy representative,
I've been playing darts now for 10 years. During those 10 years I have been given various opportunities to improve my darts in all aspects, which in turn has allowed my career in the sport to grow. I've travelled all over the country for my darts, from Wales, to Newcastle and everywhere in between.
I started off my darts journey here at the Andover Academy, before graduating up to playing for Berkshire Youth County in 2017 and it wasn't long before I secured my spot playing for Wiltshire Senior Ladies in 2022.
Over the years the academy has become like a second family, supporting one another in their achievements and all coming together when its needed the most.
